You can only go live at a real venue within 5km of your actual location. No home check-ins, ever.
Distance only, no coordinates
Others only see "1.2km away" — never your exact location or the venue you're at.

Block or report any user from the map, chat, or messages — one tap, immediate effect.
Auto-off when inactive
Green Light removes you from the map after 15 minutes of inactivity or when your session expires.
Encrypted token storage
Your login credentials are stored in encrypted device storage — never accessible to other apps.

Yes — the core experience is completely free. Go live, see who's nearby, send waves, and chat with mutual matches at no cost. A premium tier unlocks unlimited waves, seeing who liked you, and more.
To go live and appear on the map, yes — you need to be within 5km of a real venue and check in there. You can browse profiles and messages from anywhere, but the live map feature requires you to actually be out.
Either person can send a new wave to reopen the chat. If the wave is mutual again, another 10-minute window opens. Once you've connected properly, the chat becomes permanent.
Green Light includes thousands of venues across Australia: bars, pubs, clubs, rooftops, and stadiums. Venue data comes from OpenStreetMap and is updated regularly. If your favourite spot is missing, let us know.
No — other users only ever see your approximate distance, such as "1.2km away." Your exact GPS coordinates are never shared with anyone.
Green Light is currently iOS only. Android is on the roadmap — we'll announce when it's ready.
